An overly complex origami heart <3
This video show’s how to make an origami heart. Sure there, are easier hearts to make, like this one, but the method I show in the video uses square paper without any cuts… most hearts I’ve seen require cutting or rectangular paper (like the change of heart fold I made last year).
Waiting for your change of heart…
Ok, so I gave into the pressure and decided to make a video for St. Valentine’s Day. It also happens to be my first dollar origami video… In addition to celebrating Valentine’s, I figured I’d go all out and celebrate President’s day as well. If you look closely you’ll notice that I used a $5 bill (Abraham Lincoln) and a quarter (George Washington).
This is one of many different types of hearts you can make from a dollar bill. I’ve heard this one called “change of heart” because it can hold a quarter in the center. If you want a diagram to go along with this video, check out this one by Steve Hecht.
One last thing… anyone else remember that song Change Of Heart by Cyndi Lauper? …I just totally dated myself… Long live the 80’s! …er… well, long live 80’s music! … um… well, long live Cyndi Lauper
