14 Point Star
This origami video shows you how to make another type of star (it is one of the many stars featured on the cover of Snow Patrol’s A Hundred Million Suns). This modular star has 14 points and requires 14 square sheets of paper. It’s pretty easy to fold, but obviously with 14 pieces, it can take a while to make this star.
Materials:
- Fourteen square sheets of paper, all the same size.
- in this video I use 15cm x 15cm (6” x 6”) pages from a fold-a-day origami calendar.
- the final product is about 27cm (10 3/4”) wide
- I use some of the many shades of yellow from the origami calendar to make this star, but I’ve also seen these in many different colors and they look great. Play around and see what color scheme you like. When you’ve made your star, feel free to post it to the forums.
is there something new???????????????
i´ve searched so long for this star
thx you that you made this video
i´m realy impressed of the a hundred million suns cover
sry for my bad english (i´m from austria ^^)
when i made all the peices and put them together to form the sun.. it fals right apart if i even try to spin it or pick it up..
i just made one with almost square paper, watch the end of the video. after you assemble them, you need to push them together for it to stay. or it will fall apart
there's a new video every week, jolyn
I'll usually post it on Saturday or Sunday.
